ABSTRACT: Addressing Environmental Sustainability in Vocational Training Facilities is crucial for promoting eco-friendly practices and awareness among students. This study investigated the integration of environmental sustainability into the operations and curricula of vocational training facilities. The objectives were: to assess the current level of sustainability practices in vocational training facilities, to evaluate the impact of these practices on student awareness and behavior, and to propose strategies for enhancing sustainability in vocational education. A survey design was employed to gather detailed data from students, educators, and facility managers, providing a comprehensive understanding of sustainability practices. A sample size of 250 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to ensure participants with relevant experience were included. The case study focused on the Federal Science and Technical College, Yaba, Lagos State. Findings revealed that while some sustainability practices were in place, there was a significant need for improvement and greater integration into the curriculum. It was recommended that vocational training facilities should adopt comprehensive sustainability policies, provide training for staff and students on sustainable practices, and incorporate sustainability topics into all relevant courses.
